Rachel Mallino Fowley is a recovering victim of child sex abuse, but her healing is far from over. That's why she is seeking closure and justice through unconventional means. She is the author of a blog post that is currently going viral on Facebook and other social network outlets titled "I am Clare Hreschak's Daughter" -- and she is the subject of the emotionally draining story. On April 6, 2013 Rachel spoke exclusively for this breaking report only on Examiner News.
When asked about her reasoning for posting her innermost sensitive memories with the world in this manner, Rachel had the following to say:
"I want this story to get as much exposure as possible. If people are able to receive one million "likes" on a picture of a little girl begging for a puppy, surely people care about child abuse and how the current legal system makes it near impossible for adult children of child abusers to seek recourse."
People should care about child abuse -- especially when the perpetrator is a public school official who may or may not continue her alleged predatory behavior toward children not her own. What Rachel Mallino Fowley alleges her mother did is deplorable, as outlined in the blog post. Rachel's story brings to light the numerous emotional and mental problems that arise from child abuse in her post, after giving the ominous statement, "Monsters really do live in closets."
"By 35, I had seen over a dozen psychotherapists. I've had more diagnoses than fingers. But there is one constant diagnosis with regards to my ill functioning brain -- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder."
What did Clare Hreschak do to her daughter that lent to the development of this disorder? Rachel charges that the woman, who is a public school teacher in West Palm Beach, Fla., forced her to watch her engage in sexual intercourse with her boyfriend. Afterward she would be emotionally abused by her mother -- who appeared to be taking out her own shortcomings on the girl.
"I believed, without a doubt, that my own mother was going to murder me," Rachel writes.
The level of emotional, physical and mental abuse this woman claims to have endured is just stomach-turning. That is why it's understandable that she has taken to social media in this viral campaign to out her own mother for the years of abuse that she has not been punished for committing. Will Clare Hreschak face justice for allegedly abusing her daughter sexually, physically and mentally for years?
The statutes of limitations vary regarding child sex abuse, but civilly as a victim Fowley may have the ability to go after her mother aggressively for the reparations she deserves. However, this viral campaign appears to be taking off with tremendous speed.
