There has been a lot of speculation over Monday's episode of ABC's “The Bachelor 2014” regarding what went down between Juan Pablo Galavis and Clare Crawley. The editing certainly implied that the two got quite intimate during their secret alone time in Vietnam, but Crawley says that is not at all the case. Clare spoke with the media on Feb. 6, and E! Online shared the scoop.
Clare Crawley says, “Nothing happened in the ocean!” She says the only thing that went down was “two people were living in their heart and being in the moment and falling in love.” She says she was indeed falling in love, and that encounter was about her checking off swimming in the ocean from her bucket list.
As for Juan Pablo Galavis later telling her he thought it was a mistake, Clare admits she was definitely blindsided. She says she found nothing wrong with what they did and she would do it again, as there was nothing shameful about it. Clearly much of the issue is the editing of Juan Pablo and Clare together. Crawley points out that things were not made clear, and much of what happened was taken out of context.
Clare adds that she knew she wanted to make sure she stood up for herself and didn't let someone demean or shame her for “something that isn't wrong.” She says she had forgotten exactly how she had handled it at the time, when Juan Pablo pulled her aside and said they'd made a mistake. It's clear from her interview, however, that she is confident she did nothing that would leave her needing to be ashamed. She adds that her family was defensive of her and it was hard for them to watch.
What comes next for Juan Pablo and Clare? “The Bachelor” spoiler preview shows that the two will once again talk about what happened. She shares that the issue, to her, isn't what happened in the ocean. The problem is how he made her feel about it and she wants clarification from him.
Is Clare happy with how things turned out in this case with “The Bachelor 2014”? She says she is “100 percent” happy and she wouldn't change a thing. Fans will definitely be interested to see how this continues to play out between Juan Pablo and Clare. ABC's “The Bachelor 2014” airs Monday nights, and in the next episode they head to New Zealand.
