Claire's, long a favorite accessories spot for the 13-and-under-set, is growing up. The brand unveiled a new line of Fierce accessories for fall 2010, targeted to a slightly more mature group: teenagers. The collection contains hats, bags, gloves, jewelry, nail art and more at the same affordable prices as before. Expect tote bags, fedoras, knit caps, chunky rings, fingerless faux leather gloves, long chain necklaces and dangling earrings. To get a peek at how to style some of the items, take a look at the behind-the-scenes video of the Fierce photoshoot. Claire's was kind enough to send me a few samples to get an up-close-and-personal look at the new collection. There's a long Gothic rosary-inspired necklace and a black-and-white bead necklace with multiple chains that would both be great for layering. There was also a long scrolled heart necklace that would go well with almost any outfit, a silver-and-gold floral necklace that would make a great statement piece with a solid tee or a low-cut tank and a string of faux pearls tied with a black ribbon that is sweet and classic enough to be in style for years. Plus a bracelet with four strands of black beads that can be dressed up or down or layered with other pieces for a fun look. The best part: most pieces are under $10!
