For the ninth consecutive year, CityFeast, Dining Out to Conquer Diabetes, takes place in Boston, hosted by 10 top restaurants including Antico Forno, Aria Trattoria, The Gallows, Lucca, Lucia, TAMO, Taranta, Temazcal, Terramia Ristorante and Tresca.

This year, the event, Sunday, January 26 at 6 p.m., honors Mayor Tom Menino for the passion and long-time commitment to supporting CityFeast as well as championing city-wide health/wellness initiatives and helping to promote diabetes awareness.

Tickets to the event include a five-course dinner with wine pairings (Tequila at Temazcal). Proceeds benefit the Joslin Diabetes Center's High Hopes Fund which supports the Center's greatest needs in research, education and clinical care. The tickets this year are $150 per person with $100 of the amount tax deductible.

In 2005, Carla Agrippino Gomes set up the event to express her appreciation to the Center after her son, David, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on his first birthday. He's received care ever since, for 22 years.

The tickets are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Go to or LIKE the event on
