Everyone knows about the high property taxes in Baltimore, but not everyone knows about our ever increasing and mysterious water bills. I just received my water bill in the mail and I was informed that my rate went from $2.265 and $3.045 per 100 cubic feet of water consumed to $2.469 and $3.319 per 100 cubic feet of water consumed. This is the third rate increase I can remember over the last few years. I know that the money is supposed to go toward major fixes in the water system infrastructure that the federal government has mandated.
Meanwhile the Baltimore Sun came out with an article about how Baltimore's utility bills are the highest in the nation.
Have a great Artscape weekend!

I saw it and someone should be call on the carpet. Outright rip off of the people of this city. Oh yes have you seen the rebate fee on your BGE bill lately. We are paying out the Yzoo to a city and state that is mis using the money for their own personal gain. Who says Robin Hood is not alive and well in Baltimore, Maryland. Everyone should just walk around this city just like the songs says "Put your hands in the air, and act like you just don't care". Their are suckers born every minute. I just can't wait for the next election. Get rid of these old farts who have no fresh revenue ideas, but just love spending money they don't have "Yet" from you pocket or pocketbooks.
