City Sports recently announced that they will be adding a plus size line to their CS by City Sports brand for women in March of 2013. Designed in house especially for plus size women, the line is a follow up to their existing line that was re launched in March of 2011.
The CS plus size line is an assortment in the company's best selling styles for running and training from their upcoming City Sports 2013 collection. By using carefully measured cuts and designs that are figure flattering to plus size women, the company is set to provide top of the line quality. Also in this line, premium brands like Nike and Moving Comfort, will also offer sizes from 1X to 3X as well as sports bras in sizes from 40C-44DD.
"We are absolutely thrilled to introduce this extended sizes segment to our brand," said City Sports President and CEO, Eddie Albertian. "Our intention with the CS brand has always been to create a versatile line for our customers that is not only affordable, but is on-trend and of spectacular quality. With the introduction of these new sizes for women, we surely have opened the door to many new customers."
"We wanted to give the plus-sized customer more choices," said City Sports Category Manager for Apparel, Lauren Blanda. "The most common feedback in our research is that she is frustrated by the lack of options and color for her athletic gear. By expanding upon our CS brand and complementing the assortment with best in class product from Nike and Moving Comfort, we are able to significantly increase those choices."
Their motto “Love Iit for Life” is CS by City Sports motto and their new plus line will live up to that standard as well. Offering plus sizes for women is just the first step in http://www.citysports.com/ expansion as they eventually hope to expand further their sports bra sizes and extend their men's to XXL and offer short and tall pant lengths.
Once the line is released it will be available in City Sports locations in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.as well as online.
