'City of Titans' Kickstarter nominated for Shorty Award

Less than three months after reaching more than double its $320,000 goal, the "City of Titans" Kickstarter campaign has been nominated for the Shorty Award for Kickstarter of the Year. Each year, the Shorty Awards honor the people and groups making real-time short form content across all the various social media networks. Last year, more than 2 million tweet-nominations were sent during the nomination process.

"City of Titans," developed by Missing Worlds Media, aims to be a "spiritual successor" to the popular and untimely shuttered "City of Heroes" superhero MMORPG. Reaching its Kickstarter goal in only five days, "City of Titans" went on to also achieve seven of its stretch goals. It's clear why this effort by Missing Worlds Media has been nominated for the Kickstarter of the Year Shorty Award.

As of this writing, "City of Titans" has 31 nominations in this category, putting it in fifth place. There are various factors besides number of nominations influencing the selection of winners, however. For more info on Shorty Award winner selection, see the rules page.

If you'd like to show your support for "City of Titans," head on over to the Shorty Awards website and tweet your nomination. Voting ends on February 18th. The awards ceremony will be held in New York on April 7th and will be live-streamed on the web.

You can follow the game's progress on its Kickstarter page, where the developers continue to post updates.
