The City of Hollywood wants to put its older residents back to work. The City has established a program known as the Boomers, Experience, Skills, Team, (BEST). The objective of the program is to help baby boomers, senior citizens, semi-retired and retired people get back to work.

There will be six workshops starting on January 14 at Hollywood City Hall to provide education on how to get back into the workforce. Those running the workshops will be experienced in the area of finding and keeping jobs. The workshops will take place in the mornings and evenings. The focus will be on job search skills, effective negotiation, networking one on one, behavior management and winning promotions, according to Raelin Storey, spokesperson for the City of Hollywood.
