So what does the fourth book in Cassandra Clare’s ‘Mortal Instruments’ series and the television series ‘Castle’ and ‘Gossip Girl’ have in common? Cassandra Clare announced today that ‘Gossip Girl’ heartthrob Ed Westwick and ‘Castle’ darling Molly Quinn will be voicing the audio book for ‘City of Fallen Angels.’
This is exciting news to ‘Mortal Instruments’ fans who are still waiting to see if actor Alex Pettyfer will accept an offer to play Jace Wayland in the ‘City of Bones’ movie. Cassandra Clare has confidence that Westwick will be able to bring that “classic slightly evil drawl” that Jace portrays.
Molly Quinn is already a fan of the books. Cassandra Clare feels that she has “great comic timing” that will be needed for delivering Clary’s lines. Many fans had wanted to see Quinn cast as Clary in the movie. That role went to rising star Lily Collins.
The audio book will come out on April 5, 2011 the same day as the ‘City of Fallen Angels’ book. Click here to pre-order your copy today.
