The city of Norcross is again inviting hundreds of children from local schools as well as any interested residents to tour City Hall and learn more about local government while seeing it in action.
Friday, April 22nd is City Government Day. The event takes place in and around the surrounding grounds of City Hall, 65 Lawrenceville St., and is an informative, popular event. It begins at 9am and runs until about 1pm.
Norcross Police Department will be demonstrating how their K-9 force works with live demonstrations.
Each city department will be on hand to answer questions, conduct tours and give demonstrations related to their branch of the municipal workforce.
Buster the Brown Thrasher will be on-hand to entertain the children and the SWAT team will be on hand demonstrating some of their most useful equipment.
Stop by and enjoy these informative activities and have a snack in Betty Mauldin Park while enjoying some storytelling.
