City Center to hire restaurant development director for Allentown

City Center, the company doing many project for the downtown commercial development in Allentown's Neighborhood Improvement Zone (NIZ), is trying a new tactic for managing the future dining scene; the group is employing a restaurant development director.

City Center has distinct restaurant spaces under it development and hired Brett Kemmerer, Bethlehem resident and executive from awarding winning restaurants out West, to fill these. The spaces include locations at the Two City Center office/retail tower, Three City Center office/retail high rise, and a future office building along the Artswalk extension

Brett will look to develop a plan for selecting diverse dining choices and then a strategy for restaurant prospecting to fill them. After this is completed, selections will be made for the operator at these building.

In addition to office space locations, City Center has another four restaurants to fill as part of the Hamilton Street renovations, which includes the Federal Grill. Kemmerer will handle this also, and advise on the restaurant choice that will be featured in the Renaissance Hotel by Marriott, which is next to the ice hockey arena.
