Get ready for a unique experience. Cirque du Soleil’s newest arena show, Varekai, is headed to Orlando for seven performances, September 17-21, 2014 at the Amway Center. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. After 11 years of touring the world under the Big Top, Varekai began touring arenas worldwide this past December.
This Cirque du Soleil extravaganza is set deep in a forest atop a volcano where there exists an extraordinary world called Varekai. The show begins when a young man parachutes into a magical forest where he discovers a kaleidoscopic place of wonder that contains fantastical creatures and extraordinary possibilities. His adventure begins an inspired incantation to life rediscovered.
In the language of the Romany gypsies, the word Varekai (pronounced ver-ay-‘kie) means “wherever.” Like these universal wanderers, this Cirque du Soleil production pays tribute to “the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai.”
