The critically acclaimed "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy," the only show of its type to play on Broadway, comes to Fort Lauderdale this month for a five-day engagement.

The show will run from July 22-27 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts as a summertime offering to delight audiences of all ages.

Created and directed by renowned theatrical and circus impresario Neil Goldberg, the show portrays an exotic encounter inspired by nature's unpredictable creations that are brought to life by a cast of soaring aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians, all clad in award-nominated spectacular costumes. It is an adventure that comes to life in a fantastical jungle setting filled with flowers, magical trees and special effects.

The show, which New York Magazine proclaimed "the grandest circus spectacle east of Vegas," recently returned from a United States Armed Forces World Tour, playing to over 100,000 troops and their families stationed at military installations throughout 10 countries. The show has also been performed on the water, as a modern theater dining experience in partnership with Norwegian Cruise Lines Breakway, which won it the distinction as "Best Show at Sea" by Porthole Magazine.

"Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy" originally debuted on Broadway in 2008 and, after traveling internationally, as well as nationally throughout the U.S., was relaunched two years later at the MGM Grand Theater in Foxwoods, Conn. The show also received the 2011 Brass Ring award for entertainment excellence at Busch Gardens, Tampa, Fla., where it played daily during a nine-month run.

Tickets are $34.50 - $74.75
