Circle is the new square

It may have been “Hip to be Square” in the 1980’s – but today’s home fashions are much more “well-rounded”.

Wanting to create a design that provided his clients with statement making style, interior designer Eli Mechlovitz, founder of GlassTileStore.com, decided to venture away from the traditional subway tile and move towards circles with his latest tile innovation.

Touted as the hottest and most affordable kitchen and bath trend for 2010, GlassTileStore.com’s new Circle Line of mosaics features a stunning collection of round tile designs in dozens of materials, textures and colors. Perfect for the modern day kitchen backsplash, bath or even pool, the circle line of glass tiles are sure to bring unique and eclectic style to any home or apartment.

The best part is the price. While glass tiles and mosaics tend to be priced as a luxury item, GlassTileStore.com truly is the super-saver alternative for expensive tiles, featuring over 300 high-end designs priced 50 to 60 percent below retail.

Want to save even more money on your glass tiles? Try installing them yourself with these DIY tips from Eli Mechlovitz:

  1. Apply clear tile adhesive with a trout to the back of the tiles
  2. Place tiles on the wall, and hold them firmly in-place to set them on the wall.
  3. For best results, let them remain set for 24 hours.
  4. Once the adhesive dries, apply your grout with a grout floot. Wipe over the top with a sponge to keep the tile nice and clean.
  5. Finally, let the grout dry for 24 hours and enjoy your brand new look!

Oh my God. Did you lift this from the Paramus Post? A NEW JERSEY newspaper? The copypasta's bad enough, but oh lord, Jersey.

Oh Gosh! I don't know what to say i wonder if no one is thinking about the crazy grout patterns. Oh maybe they are planning on making the tiles so bold and bright (substitute gaudy) so that your eye may not get a second to actually rest between jumping from one circle to another. I am thinking maybe pass on this one....
