Circa at Dupont Circle

For those of you who frequent the Dupont Circle area, you've probably walked by Circa at least a dozen times. Circa is a cozy, little cafe tucked just north of Dupont Circle on the corner of Connecticut and Q St. NW.

The atmosphere is inviting and the waitstaff is friendly.  Circa offers a great outdoor patio area that is perfect for people-watching while sipping on a glass of wine.  Although the wine list is somewhat short and fairly standard, it offers familiar comfort wines such as cava, chenin blanc, reisling, merlot, zinfandel, pinot noir, and cabernet sauvignon that do not requre explanation from a sommelier.  Another positive about the wine list is that it allows the customer to choose a 3 oz or 6 oz pour by the glass.  This is perfect for guests who want to try a variety of wines without ordering a full glass of each and allows for experimentation rather than ordering from a preset wine flight menu.  It's also great way to try some of the pricier wines by the glass without spending as much.  Circa boasts wines by the bottle and half bottle as well.

Wines by the glass range from $4 to $13 and bottles range from $26 to $45. A reserve wine list offering pricier wines by the bottle is available upon request.  For non-wine drinkers, Circa offers a variety of signature cocktails and a short beer list.
