Palm Desert's premier art house Cinemas Palme D'Or will be featuring a pre-release screening of the Tom Hardy's new film "Locke," tonight, Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 6:30 pm. The screening will be followed by a delayed broadcast of a Q&A session with Writer/Director Steven Knight, actor Tom Hardy and moderated by Peter Travers of Rolling Stone Magazine from New York City.
The screening and delayed broadcasted Q&A is the first of a series of such screenings and Q&A's sponsored by the New York's Critics Association.
In "Locke," Ivan Locke (Tom Hardy) has worked diligently to craft the life he has envisioned. He dedicated himself to the job that he loves and the family he adores. During one enthralling car ride, Ivan receives a phone call that sets in motion a series of events that will unravel his job, family and soul. "Locke" is an investigation of how one decision can lead to the complete breakdown of a life.
The film was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Steven Knight ("Dirty Pretty Things," "Eastern Promises") and driven by an remarkable performance by Tom Hardy. "Locke" is a exciting and unique cinematic experience of a man fighting to save all that is important to him.
"Locke" is rated R for language throughout and has a runtime of 1 hour and 25 minutes.
