Cindy, a four-year-old pit bull, was taken in at the East Valley Animal Care and Control facility in Van Nuys, Calif., on Jan. 2.
Cindy's intake photo reveals her fear and uncertainty...finding one's self at an animal control facility is good cause for anxiety.
Nobody ever came to the facility to free Cindy - if she had an owner, that person failed to show.
In the time that Cindy has been at the facility, she has shown herself to be outgoing, playful and friendly.
According to Cindy's profile on Shelter Me:
She is super friendly and loves toys and treats. She is a medium energy level, meaning she can hang out at home and also is up for long walks, hikes or a day of play. It's up to you, but first you need to meet this sweet girl. She walks well on leash, will sit for a treat and is eager to please. Cindy is available now at the East Valley Animal Shelter.
Based on Cindy's stellar personality, it is likely that she had an owner prior to her arrival at the facility, unfortunately, since that person did not reclaim her, she is in need of help if she is to enjoy a long, happy life.
