Christopher Wheeldon's magical production of Cinderella is returning by popular demand to the San Francisco Ballet starting tonight, March 11, 2014. It will run through March 23rd. This is a full length ballet, with a running time of two hours thirty-one minutes, with two intermissions.
I was lucky enough to see the program last year, and I can tell you it was amazing. I am very much looking forward to it again this season. The run last year was enormously successful and sold out before the opening.
This ballet is an imaginative, funny, and romantic production. It features a powerful score by Prokofiev; spectacular sets, costumes and special effects by an all-star team of Broadway veterans; and breathtaking choreography by one of the world’s most sought after dance makers.
This is a wonderful event suitable for the entire family. I recommend you get your tickets as soon as possible for this ballet. You can go to www.sfballet.org for more information and to buy tickets.
