Cinderella meets her prince in Bardstown

There are benefits to losing a glass slipper after all. Find out how in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, which Bethlehem High School will present this weekend.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella will take place on Mar. 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Mar. 24 at 2 p.m. All performances are to happen at the Bardstown/Nelson County Civic Center, located at 321 S 3rd Street in Bardstown, KY.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students, and $5 for senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is based on the classic fairy tale, not the Disney movie, involving a woman who is essentially a slave to her family, a stepmother and stepsisters. Despite this, Cinderella dreams of having a much more worthy life. With the help of a Fairy Godmother, Cinderella just may achieve the dream.

David Goodlett directed the production for Bethlehem High School. Beth Olliges provided musical direction and choreography.
