Cincinnati suburb issues coyote warning

Police in the Cincinnati suburb of Wyoming are issuing a warning to residents after several reports of coyote sightings.

Police say they are concerned because the animals are normally timid, but they've received several reports from residents in the area who have seen the animals in their yards.

Anyone who sees a coyote in the suburb should call police at 513-821-0141.

There are ways to reduce the likelihood that a coyote will be attracted to your property. Don't leave food outside for your pets, and store your trash in covered, heavy-duty containers. Keep your yard lit. And be sure to watch your pets and small children carefully when they are outside.
