Cincinnati Police officers responded to a Wednesday night shooting at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Police arrived before 6:30 p.m. to find victim Dashawn Wheeler, 19, who died of his wounds.
Police are also investigating a sexual assault that occurred yesterday. The female victim described her attacker as a 30-year old black male, around 5’10, wearing a blue windbreaker, a tee shirt, baggy jeans and red, black and white Nike gym shoes. It’s unclear whether the victim knew her attacker or if the assault was random.
In other news, Raphael Kelly, 22, died Tuesday from gunshot wounds he sustained on September 12, 2012. Cincinnati’s District Three officers responded to a shooting at the 1900 block of Westwood Northern Boulevard.
Kelly was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition. His death is now considered a homicide.
