Cincinnati Police capture man who murdered LaSalle High School student

LaSalle High School teenager Justin Brown, 17, was shot in the head last night. He died today at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Cincinnati’s homicide Unit said the murder occurred at 1700 Carll Street.

Cincinnati’s Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Dierres Lee, 19, today and charged him with murdering Brown. He is now in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Police have said that Brown and some friends had bought drugs from Lee with counterfeit money. Once Lee realized the money was fake, he fired his gun and hit Brown while he sat in a car.

Counselors at laSalle were available for students today and will be for the rest of the week. Cincinnati Police request that anyone with any information about this crime contact them at 352-3542 or text CINTIP and your message to CRIMES (274637). Callers may remain anonymous.
