Cincinnati police have captured escaped criminals Willard Wilson, 48, and Donnie Johnson, 38. The men enjoyed a brief period of freedom after escaping from the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington, Kentucky last week.
Cincinnati police officers arrested the escapees last night without incident in a Cincinnati neighborhood at Spring Grove Avenue and Winton Road in Spring Grove Village.
Wilson, denied parole last week, is serving 22 years for burglary, receiving stolen property, escape and a gun charge.
Johnson is serving time for robbery and receiving stolen property. The men escaped last Sunday. Although Blackburn is a minimal security prison, police have not released details of the escape.
Blackburn’s website describes the facility as:
“The Division of Adult Institutions' largest adult male minimum-security institution providing care, housing, custody, control, and governmental services jobs to inmates.”
The Kentucky State Police are investigating.
