Two police officers witnessed Miles B. Howard of Cincinnati pick up a one month old puppy, yell at the little defenseless one, and then throw the tiny canine to the ground. Howard told the officers he was training the pup.
According to wcpo.com, on Monday, in front of the police station, Lt. Richardson stated one officer ran over to Howard to stop him, and the other officer protected the puppy. The tiny boxer and shepherd mix suffered from scratches on his paws and chin.
The puppy is now being cared for by the Cincinnati Society for the Prevention of Cruelty.
Howard allegedly told the officers the puppy was his property, and he could do whatever he wanted to the animal.
A future court hearing will determine if the puppy will be returned to Howard.
