Cincinnati grocery store chain launches new line of pet food products

A local grocery store chain launching a line of pet food. Bigg's stores now carry the Supervalu WholeCare Pet brand line, which includes food for cats and dogs, as well as treats and supplies.

The WholeCare Pet line, which will replace SUPERVALU's two former private-label pet product brands, Happy Tails and NutriPlan, are now available at Bigg's stores.  There are 15 store locations in the Cincinnati Metro area.

The manufacturers say the producers are formulated to match or exceed the quality of leading national brands but at a cost savings of at least 15 percent to 30 percent.

The new WholeCare Pet line features nearly 100 dog and cat products, including wet and dry puppy and dog food, dog biscuits and treats, wet and dry cat and kitten food.
