Cincinnati and Home Builders Association select a site for September 2012 show

Cincinnati, OH – CiTiRAMA®, the longest running urban home show partnership between a Home Builders Association (HBA) and a municipality in the country, has announced that the site of the 11th show will be at Virginia Place in Northside.

“The demand continues to be high for new housing in Cincinnati, and CiTiRAMA continues to create great new homes in our community,” Mayor Mark Mallory said.  “Our partnership with the Home Builders is a national model for bringing new exciting housing opportunities to major cities.”

In-Line Development plans to include 37 lots in the community, which will include many green amenities, including a park trail.  The Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati anticipates that construction will begin in early 2012.  The show will be held September 8-16.

The City of Cincinnati offers a 10-year property tax abatement to all new home purchasers and a 5-year bonus (15 years) for new homes that are LEED-certified.  New homebuyers can save thousands of dollars a year in taxes.

The site, formerly known as Colerain Connector Sector B, will include significant infrastructure upgrades including new streets and gutters. Virginia Place will be connected by a park trail to the Northwind development located on Kirby Road.

Northside was also the site of the 2010 CiTiRAMA® located at Rockford Woods, which was named Best Home Show in the country from the National Home Builders Association.  The first show, held in 1996, was located at City West in the Betts Longworth historic district.

“Northside provides a multitude of benefits to new homebuyers. With a walk able business district that boasts of quaint shops and one-of-a-kind restaurants, coffee shops and art galleries, it is really a hip place to live. Singles, young professionals and families have all been drawn to this close-to-downtown, eclectic community on the move,” said Dan Dressman, HBA Executive Director.
