Rock in spanish band from Denver, Cikatriz, is hosting a party to celebrate the release of their newest album titled Melancolia. Izcalli and Gallo (ex-Montenegro) will also play live with Cikatriz. Three Denver-based spanish rock bands for only $10 admission (pre-sale) at Club California. Mexico City actually has a vibrant rock scene, so these Denver-based musicians of Mexican decent are bringing some of that Mexican style rock to Denver.
Cikatriz has a vocalist, several guitar players, a drummer, and is meticulous about sound. They compose their own songs and record in their own fully equipped studio. Cikatriz was a finalist in a prestigious music contest by Burger King. Their style is like alternative rock--soft with a touch of rhythm.
They will be in good company playing with Izcalli and Gallo. Izcalli has played for Illegal Pete's and has been the opening act for major artists when they visit Denver.
