CIF-SS 2013 girls volleyball playoffs begin November 12

It's that time of the year again when kills, bumps and spikes of the highest level take center court! The CIF Southern Section Girls Volleyball Playoffs are about to begin.

A total of 313 teams have qualified into the 10 divisional playoff brackets. The single elimination
tournaments started on Friday, November 8, 2013 with wild-card games (where necessary). They will be followed by first round games on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

The championship finals will be conducted in a two day, two location, 10-match extravaganza at Cerritos College and Santiago Canyon College on November 22-23, 2013.

The No. 1-seeded teams include: Los Alamitos, La Salle, Santiago/Corona, Whittier Christian,
Culver City, Sage Hill, Hemet, Laguna Blanca, La Sierra Academy and Orangewood Academy.

O.C. Seeded teams include:

DIVISION 1AA
Los Alamitos (27-5), Sunset League Champion
Corona del Mar (23-5), Pacific Coast League Champion

DIVISION 1A
Laguna Beach (20-11), Orange Coast League Champion

DIVISION 2A
Yorba Linda (20-6), Empire League Champion
Troy (29-4), Freeway League Champion

DIVISION 3A
Sage Hill (21-5) Academy League Co-Champion

DIVISION 4AA
Saddleback Valley Christian (27-4), San Joaquin League Champion
