Ciara announced the big news by unveiling the single's cover art, which shows her handling some guy. The "Ciara" album dropped in July and we highlighted "Overdose" as a standout. While R&B dominated much of her record, "Overdose" saw Ciara return to an electro-pop sound.
Co-writers behind hits like Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" (Ali Tamposi) and Christina Aguilera's "Let There Be Love" (Oliver Goldstein) along with the producer for Bonnie McKee's catchy "American Girl" single (Josh Abraham) are all on-board for "Overdose." She rises to the occasion with a seductive performance, singing, "I took your love, think I took too much." Bouncy synths and some light dubstep back Ciara's binge on tender loving care. This sexy club track just screamed single material so Ciara made the right move giving this one a chance.
