Tomorrow afternoon starting at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, four previously unseen hour-long episodes of “Church Rescue” will air on the National Geographic Channel.

The Church Hoppers; Rev Kev, Gladamere and Doc are the reverends behind the makeovers of churches that have just as much of a chance of failure, as restaurants and bars which have popular television series attached to them. They are based out of North Carolina, and

Rev Kev as he is mostly known, is Kevin Annas. Gladamere is really Anthony Lockhart and Doc is Jerry Bentley. Each one of the Church Hoppers has a specific job in the makeover of a church. Rev Kev is the business guru, he is an entrepreneur with years of experience. Gladamere is the sales and marketing specialist and also has lots of experience in his field. Doc specializes in the human aspect of each ministry and how they relate to their parishioners. When the three experts and men of God put their heads together, they bring each church they rescue a different solution and treat each different church with respect and reverence. The episodes are:

  • The first episode is titled, Cowboy Church, where the pastor insists on doing everything himself, and neglects asking his parishioners for help.
  • Next episode is Full Gospel Resurrected where they visit the Jesus Christ Full Gospel Church where there is a riff between the pastor and his assistant.
  • Third episode is titled, Livin’ on a Prayer, where they travel to Compton, Calif. Here they visit the Zion Baptist Evangelical Temple where the pastor is too humble to advise his ministry of the financial needs as the Church Hoppers come in to help with some serious fundraising.
  • The last episode is titled, Shalom Improvement where the Church Hoppers visit the Pacific Jewish Center, where the young Rabbi is hoping to bring in more young worshipers to his congregation.
