Infamous Colorado Chuck E. Cheese killer and longtime death row inmate Nathan Dunlap may face execution after almost 20 years on death row for killing four people at the Aurora eatery in 1993, according to a Feb. 19 Inquisitr report.
Dunlap, who was 19 at the time of the crime, killed four employees at a Chuck E. Cheese eatery in Colorado, and has now exhausted his multiple appeals. He finds himself one step closer to an execution because the United States Supreme Court has decided not to hear the case.
If he is executed, Dunlap will be the first inmate to be executed in the Colorado since 1995. In his multiple appeals, Dunlap’s attorney’s argued exhaustively that his murder trial was marred by his then incompetent trial lawyers who allegedly failed to introduce relevant evidence that could have proven Dunlap’s mental instability.
Dunlap, who had been fired from the eatery, fatally shot his former co-workers Margaret Kohlberg, 50, Sylvia Crowell, 19, and two 17-year olds - Ben Grant and Colleen O’Connor. Another victim, Bobby Stephens survived the shooting and subsequently provided authorities a positive identification of Dunlap, according to the Inquisitr.
