Autoblog announced earlier today ( Jan 15,2014) that Chrysler has revealed a preliminary online configurator for its 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan. With this being the second generation Chrysler 200, Chrysler hopes to make a splash in the compact executive automobile market.
The online configurator starts the 2015 Chrysler 200 at a $22,695 and by adding options and packages, the price crests close to $40,000 from there. Based off the Alfa Romeo platform that also underpins the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee, the Chrysler 200 diverts away from it’s previous generation as far away as it possibly could.
The exterior of the 2015 Chrysler 200 is sleek, refined and slippery (with an aerodynamic coefficient of .27) Chrome is used less sparingly then before and it benefits from a more modern look.
Inside, everything is new with a flying buttress center console, thick meaty steering wheel and large 5 inch touch screen.
The 2015 Chrysler 200 will be available in a choice of four trim levels: the base LX, the slightly fancier Limited, the sport-oriented 200S, and the top-of-the-line 200C.
Engines will include a 2.4-liter MultiAir 2 Tiger Shark inline-four powerplant producing 184 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque, as well as a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 good for 295 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque.
Even larger news comes from the inclusion of a standard 9-speed transmission that boasts 35+ miles per gallon.
Give the online configurator a spin and check it out for yourself.
