Chrysler crossfire starting issue

See also

Dear Barbara,

I have a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire with 20,000 miles that I bought two years ago and the warranty was already up. About a month later it wouldn't start so I had it towed to a dealer and when they got it off the flatbed, it started. They kept it for a week and it started everyday and they said they could not find anything on the computer because it started every time. I drove it home and about a week later the same thing happened…it would not start.

If you let it sit and try it later it starts and it's alright for awhile. The starting issue happens when you least expect it. Have you ever heard of an issue like this?

I would appreciate any information that you have.

Dear Victor,

There are so many different things this could be. For instance, if it does nothing it could be the security keeping the vehicle from starting or if it spins over it could be fuel, electrical or ignition related.

Sorry to say but it may need to stay not starting so it can be properly diagnosed.

Thanks for writing in,
