Chrysler is reaching out to small businesses to help them save time and money. Chrysler is a sponsor of Independent We Stand, a group which connects small businesses with companies that offer special services tailored to help them. Perks may include free shuttles, no cost towing or first- in-line for service.
Many Chrysler dealers are already members of a similar group called BusinessLink, which is focused on providing help to small business owners.
Richard M. Johnson, the owner of Johnson Auto Plaza, says the new program is good for both Chrysler dealers and the small businesses. Johnson says he understands that during the tough times the business owners are running their work vehicles harder and need extra help with service.
Johnson operates a Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Ram dealership in Brighton, Colorado. Johnson says the tough economy is forcing people to keep their work trucks longer. “Business owners are trading in vehicles with very high mileage”. Johnson adds “Businesses are starting to invest again. They have a little more confidence than they had 24 months ago”.
