Chronicler of Heroes from "Theros" is a new uncommon "Magic: The Gathering" card that has three words green and white mages desperately desire yet rarely receive: "Draw a card." This Centaur Wizard can be found in the "Anthousa's Army" intro pack and works particularly well with the deck's heroic creatures like Phalanx Leader.
Chronicler of Heroes - 1GW
Creature - Centaur Wizard (Uncommon)
When Chronicler of Heroes enters the battlefield, draw a card if you control a creature with a +1/+1 counter on it.
She paints pictures with words, though not all pictures show the truth.
3/3
The enters the battlefield ability of Chronicler of Heroes isn't guaranteed like Centaur Healer's is, and three mana for a 3/3 creature isn't exactly top of the line with Loxodon Smiter strictly outclassing Chronicler of Heroes. However one doesn't play Chroicler of Heroes for its beefy body: It's that extra card that makes Chronicler of Heroes just so great. That card could be another threat, removal spell, or combat trick that allows you to win the game.
From heroic creatures like Fabled Hero to monstrous threats such as Fleecemane Lion or Arbor Colossus, Chronicler of Heroes doesn't care how a creature received its +1/+1 counters, only that you control a creature with one on it. There's several inexpensive threats in particular that could shine with Chronicler of Heroes: Experiment One, Gyre Sage, and Favored Hoplite. Don't forget that other cards like Ordeal of the Heliod can enable Chronicler of Heroes.
How will you use Chronicler of Heroes?
