War Machine, an MMA fighter who most recently competed under the Bellator MMA banner, engaged in a three-person altercation on the morning of Aug. 8 at his home in Las Vegas, Nev. War Machine was released from his Bellator MMA contract when the promotion found out the news of an altercation with Mack. In an official press release from Bellator MMA, they stated that War Machine was released because they have a no tolerance policy on domestic violence. Las Vegas police did not officially release Mack's name to the public, but the incident involved what was described as War Machine's significant other.

As most fight fans know, War Machine and Mack have been dating for several months. As the days and weeks go on, more details are sure to leak surrounding the Mack and War Machine case. Since the news broke of the incident, Mack and War Machine have kept a low profile. Neither one has tweeted since the incident, and War Machine has not yet been apprehended by police. Las Vegas police have apparently been trying to locate War Machine all day, and he's missing in action.

According to an Aug. 8 report from MMA Mania, Mack was hospitalized after taking a severe beating at the hands of War Machine. Fortunately, Mack is expected to make a full recovery. The former Bellator MMA star is no stranger to run-ins with the law, as he was jailed on two separate occasions following his release from UFC a few years back. What's next in the War Machine and Mack saga? No one knows for sure.

Time will tell how the situation plays out. The only thing for sure is that this entire situation is a bad look for the sport of MMA. UFC and Bellator fighters are still trying to get past the image that they are a bunch of goons and street fighters. They want to be taken seriously as a legitimate sport, and that can't happen as long as incidents of domestic violence and street fighting go down.

In the days and weeks ahead, fight fans can look forward to Mack telling her side of the story with what happened. As for War Machine, he's never at a loss for words. MMA fans will likely see him explaining what happened via his official Twitter page. Regarding War Machine's fighting future, he's likely done for good with the UFC and Bellator. Perhaps World Series of Fighting will give him an opportunity, but it's not certain.
