America's authoritarian fundamentalist wing still actually believes they can somehow convince people that homosexuals are oppressing Christians by not letting themselves be oppressed.
The latest to rail against LGBT "oppression" is Christopher Doyle, whose shtick is to claim that he used to be gay but is now trying to free others from the brainwashing of the LGBT community.
Recently, Doyle had declared August to be "Ex-Gay Pride Month", for which American Family Radio's wingnut birther Sandy Rios predicted "thousands" would show up but instead only drew a crowd of less than ten.
Ever undeterred by reality, Doyle went on to declare September "Ex-Gay Awareness Month," which he promoted yesterday, once again, on Sandy Rios's radio show.
Also once again, Doyle complained to Rios that he and other ex-gays were being oppressed by the LGBT community.
Rios specifically took issue with a meeting held by the White House with bisexual community leaders while "ex-gays" like Doyle were left out.
Doyle responded that it is another sign that straight people like himself are facing discrimination by their "powerful oppressors" in the LGBT community.
"I think that what is really going on is there's an effort by the White House and by politicians in rank and charge to include and recognize every single sexual orientation, sexual deviance, sexual preference and sexual lifestyle out there except for heterosexuals and ex-gays," said Doyle. "So the people who say they are oppressed are the ones that are now politically powerful oppressors."
Or maybe the White House is just savvy enough to recognize that Christopher Doyle is as much an ex-gay as Kamal Saleem is an ex-terrorist.
