Christopher Cross to headline at Dosey Doe Coffee House on Grammy night (Photos)

What are you doing Sunday night, Feb. 10? Instead of watching the Grammy Awards live on CBS, why not set your DVR to record, and, if you're living in the Houston area, you're invited to hear multiple Grammy award winner, Christopher Cross, perform live, at Dosey Doe Coffee House in The Woodlands. Owner Steve Said said on Thursday, that "a few tickets remain" for Sunday night's multiple Grammy winner at the Big Barn of the Dosey Doe. The evening begins at 7:30 pm with dinner and a performance by the native Texan singer/songwriter, famous for multiple hits such as "Sailing," "Ride Like the Wind," "Never Be the Same," "Minstrel Gigolo," and "Say You'll Be Mine."

In his teenage years, Cross and his band performed primarily in Austin but when renowned producer Michael Omartian teamed up with Cross, it wasn't gold; it was a platinum combination. Thirty years and 10 albums later, Cross still proves time and again that he can share a song in an arena holding thousands of people and produce songs that people cherish 30 yeras later.

Steve Said noted about the Dosey Doe, "our venue has such a homey feeling, and the acoustics are so exceptional that we find there's no such thing as a bad seat in the house, and you feel that personal connection between audience and artist." In fact, Said shared, "the artists themselves really enjoy performing here for our audiences. It's a treat for them as well in our acoustic setting."

Cross' latest album, "Doctor Faith," has been so well received since it was released late in 2011. Cross and his longtime musical band member Rob Meurer co-wrote all the songs on "Doctor Faith." If you'd like a sneak preview of these new favorites, click here.

Three price ranges of tickets are available for the Cross dinner and show, ranging from $145-$185, and a great bonus is the gourmet three-course dinner you'll enjoy, thanks to the Dosey Doe's exemplary chef. Dress is Texas casual and you'll feel right at home the minute you walk in the door. To purchase tickets online, click here.

Houston and Woodlands music lovers know the Dosey Doe well, as it has fast become one of the hottest music spots in The Woodlands, famous for bringing some of the biggest names in pop, rock, jazz, folk, and country to the beautiful rustic setting. And, no evening is complete without enjoying the absolutely fantastic coffee they offer.

After the concert patrons have another great opportunity to participate in a meet and greet with selected artists. Just to get new CDs, which you can't find in the music stores because they have all gone the way of dial telephones, right there that night, and then have them autographed by people you've listened to for years is an unforgettable joy as well.

Dosey Doe is located at 25911 I-45 North in The Woodlands, and once you've been, you'll be able to find your way back again and again. Steve Said noted yesterday, "Our family invites you to hear Christopher Cross in our special evening that starts off Valentine's week. Call (281)-367-3774 for more information.

So, for Sunday night, you can come to Dosey Doe and hear a dynamic and very humble entertainer who's won 5 Grammy Awards, 1 Oscar, 1 Golden Globe, had 4 #1 singles, sold 9,000,000 albums worldwide, or sit home and watch Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen for 2 hours. Decisions, decisions.
