Christmas week snow for Maryland....

Christmas Snow?
Christmas Snow?

After a windy and cold weekend, the Holiday week looks very active. There will be two storms on the horizon for the Baltimore area. The first will be a weak short wave in the southern branch of the jet that will pass through the Mid Atlantic on Christmas Eve. The temps look marginal for snow in MD, but there will be at least a mix of rain & snow Monday Night into early Christmas Morning. Since it’s coming in at night, I would say there is about a 40% chance for a small snow accumulation in the Baltimore Metro Area. That would be nice for the Holiday! Another, and much stronger storm will develop Wednesday into Thursday. This storm will bring heavy rain and snow to parts of the Mid Atlantic. It’s too early to say where that rain/snow line will set up....but this one will be worth watching! Stay tuned...
