Creative students at a Texas high school pulled a prank on teachers and students with a “live” Christmas tree – and the video has gone viral, according to a Yahoo! News report on Thursday.
The video, which was posted to YouTube on Wednesday, shows Rowdy Cayce – according to the video’s credits – dressed up a Christmas tree. It appears as though teachers were asked to stand next to the Christmas tree, not knowing there was a person in it, and talk about their favorite Christmas. Some of them were likely asked to put a white star on top of the tree. Midway through their videoed presentation, the tree moved and screamed “rrraaahhh!” The reactions of the teachers are quite funny – and each of the pranked-teachers was a good sport about it all. Some of the video shows students also approaching the tree and being surprised that it was “live.”
The event evolved at Kilgore High School in Kilgore, Texas after a student had used the Christmas tree costume for a Sunday school party. The media teacher at the school, Michelle Gilgan, agreed to let her students do the prank as a production project for the class. The videoing took place on “Tacky Sweater Day” – as teachers reportedly don’t dress like they are in the video every day.
Reportedly, the only complaints the teacher had regarding the prank was from the teachers who were left out of the fun and games.
