We like the Christmas season and all the many Christmas songs and Christmas music that we hear. We especially love checking out the Christmas tunes which have the videos online for us to watch our favorite performers while we hear them sing. Not all of the videos have the singers singing as we listen, but we did find a great selection of mostly Nashville artists some of which are members of the Grand Ole Opry.

We are friends on Facebook with Ms. Jeannie Seely and really enjoy her music. She has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1967 and we love seeing her on the Opry stage when we attend in Nashville.
Ms. Jeannie Seely has this video which was posted on her YouTube website from a few years back:

We met Mr. Jack Greene one day a few years ago at the grocery store and spoke to him, he was so very nice and friendly, and so down-to-earth. This well-known Grand Ole Opry star has several songs we love to hear him sing when he appears onstage at the Opry. This is a different song for Christmas and we liked it.
Jack Greene - "I'd Be Home on Christmas Day'
'If I had any sense at all, I'd just be on my way
I'd catch that train tomorrow, I'd be home on Christmas Day"
------
Mr. George Jones. What can we say? If it's sung by our fav, Mr. George Jones, it is certainly worth listening to! We are friends with George Jones' wife, Nancy Jones, on Facebook, and enjoy the postings she makes as a way to keep up with George Jones and Nancy Jones.
George Jones - My Mom and Santa Claus

Any song by Merle Haggard is sure to catch our attention as he has always been a huge favorite of everyone at our house. Here is a different Christmas song by this popular singer.
Merle Haggard - Grandma's Homemade Christmas Card

From a singer who left us much too early. Keith Whitley left a legacy of songs that are still popular in today's music world. Here is one we had not heard yet.
Keith Whitley-"Joseph and Mary's Boy"

One of our all time favorite singers in Nashville was Mr. Marty Robbins; his is said to be one of the best voices in the country music industry by many people. He was a personable, funny entertainer and we could listen to his records for days at a time. Here is one song we did not remember from those days of hearing him on our Nashville radio or the Grand Ole Opry.
Marty Robbins - A Christmas Prayer
---
Mr. Hank Snow, the Canadian country singer and entertainer who made Nashville his home and the Grand Ole Opry his venue was well known for several country songs. 'Movin On' was one of those, and 'I've Been Everywhere' was another that we easily recall and love to hear on real country radio these days. Here is one Christmas song we did not recall hearing before.
Hank Snow - The Reindeer Boogie (1953)
-----
We recall Ernest Tubb, mostly from late Saturday night Grand Ole Opry appearances in Nashville, singing his popular 'Walking the Floor Over You'. We hadn't heard this one Christmas song by him that we remembered.
We Need God For Christmas---Ernest Tubb
----
We can just see Mr. Walter Brennan as he brings us the many Christmas songs he recorded. He was a character, all right, and was a gifted actor.
O Come All Ye Faithful---Walter Brennan
-----
This was funny when it came out, still funny and it is still popular.
Elmo and Patsy - Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer
------
Who doesn't love this version by an original?
Gene Autry - Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
----
This is what we imagine the combination of, say, Celine Dion and Susan Boyle and maybe Cariie Underwood would sound like.....beautiful sounds of singing from this great group of Celtic Woman.
Celtic Woman - 'O Holy Night'

To finish this list off, we'll call on the Ol' Redneck himself, Jeff Foxworthy with his 12 Redneck Days of Christmas

That is the end of our listing for today on some Nashville Christmas songs, Christmas tunes and Christmas music we like by some of Nashville's Grand Ole Opry stars and others. We hope you enjoyed listening to the songs of the Christmas season.
