As expected, Christmas songs are a popular form of music right now, and those looking to spread the season's greetings and cheer are searching for music to play. Right now, the Amazon website is offering a gem of an album called "Big Christmas Box" for just 99 cents, which features a wide variety of great background Christmas music to enjoy. In addition, there's several other holiday or Christmas-themed albums topping various charts that music fans may want to check out including the new Kelly Clarkson album.

A report from Billboard.com on Dec. 18 indicates that Kelly Clarkson's new album "Wrapped in Red" is the #3 album right now on Billboard charts, trailing only Beyonce and Garth Brooks. Clarkson also appeared on a highly-rated special on NBC called “Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale.” The special had 5.3 million viewers during the week of Dec. 11, which surely helped to boost sales of her newest album.

Amazon is featuring the “Big Christmas Box” album which has a total of 280 classic Christmas songs including favorites like “Silent Night,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” “Deck the Halls” and “Joy to the World.” Priced at 99 cents it may seem like a "cheap" collection to some, but it's not necessarily cheap in terms of quality or quantity. In fact, for those looking to add to their current collection of songs, it makes sense, especially if one is looking for more religious-themed Christmas songs.

Surveying other charts such as the iTunes top albums in the United States indicates that Christmas music is being downloaded in a variety of genres. Some of the other albums which top the charts include Michael Buble's 2011 album "Christmas," at No.8, the top seller of all Christmas albums on iTunes. Clarkson's album is No. 14, with "Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas" at No. 21. Mary J. Blige's "A Mary Christmas" is at No. 28, with "The Essential NOW That's What I Call Christmas" one spot behind and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at No. 35 on the top albums chart.

For those looking for specific holiday songs, Amazon is offering 12 holiday songs of the week at 69 cents each. As of today’s report they include “O Tannenbaum” by the Vince Guaraldi Trio, “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole,” “Jingle Bells” by Frank Sinatra” and “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms.

Christmas Day 2013 is less than a week away, so that means there's less time to find the perfect gift. To those who celebrate the holiday, what is your all-time favorite Christmas song?
