Our FFBF are looking for Christmas all over the place. They are sniffing under the tree, in the drawers and cabinets, when the closet door opens. Have we been successful at hiding their gift for this year? They are so good at finding them it is always a challenge to hide the gift so that it is found.
This year let’s try putting the toy in a plastic bag and then put that bag in another bag with one of our used socks. This may distract from the scent of new toy, however, it may also give a younger dog the inclination to look in our socks each time they are eager to find toys or treats. A sure fire way to hide the gift is to leave it in the trunk of the car until Christmas Eve. However, this also takes some of the fun out of it.
Pets are like people some can let a package stay under the tree and never go near it while others just cannot wait. Each of us knows our pets and our own family; use you judgment in how to make sure our FFBF has a nice holiday. We just need to remember to take plenty of pictures as this will be a Christmas to remember.
