This year there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same Christmas wish - a forever home for the holidays. They are dreaming of waking up on Christmas morning in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family. I was originally going to end this series on Christmas Day, but will be featuring “Christmas pets” through New Year’s Day. These are homeless animals from local shelters and rescue groups with names that have a connection to the holiday season.
Today’s Christmas pet is Yule from Furkids. Yule is a six-year old male domestic short haired black and white kitty. Here is more about Yule from the Furkids website:
“Amazing PURRRRRRSONALITY!! Yule is a sweet cat who just loves to run, jump, romp, and play. He would love to be adopted with his brother Yancey. He is currently available to meet in person at our cage free facility. Make an appointment to stop in and let him entertain you and YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE and wonder how you ever lived without him in your life!”

About Furkids (from the Georgia Gives Day website)
“Furkids is Georgia’s largest no-kill animal shelter. We operate the largest cage-free shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats and a no-kill shelter for dogs where they can experience the best care in a loving environment until they are adopted. Each year, Furkids rescues, shelters, sterilizes, rehabilitates, and places hundreds of animals in permanent, loving homes. Furkids, which cares for more animals on a daily basis than any other local organization, has rescued and altered more than 7,000 animals since its founding in 2002. In 2011, Furkids acquired SmallDog Rescue. Approximately 600 animals are in the Furkids program today, in the Furkids shelters, PetSmart and PETCO adoption centers and foster homes.”
