NBC has announced the talent lineup for the show featuring the famous Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City in a November 4, 2010 press release. The holiday tree lighting will broadcast live on NBC, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The 13th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center special features performances by Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Charice, Sheryl Crow, Jackie Evancho, Josh Groban, Katherine Jenkins, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Jessica Simpson and The Radio City Rockettes. The show will be hosted by Natalie Morales and Al Roker.
The centerpiece of the holiday extravaganza will feature a tree that is 74 feet high, 40 feet in diameter and weighing a whopping 12 tons. The tradition of the Christmas Tree on Rockefeller Center dates back to the Great Depression.
The first Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree was erected in 1933. the inaugural tree was decked out with 700 lights and placed in front of the RCA Building, which was just eight months old at the time. The former RCA building is now the GE Building.
The Rockefeller Plaza outdoor ice-skating pond was opened in 1936, enhancing the holiday spectacle. The tree lighting event was televised for the first time in 1951 on The Kate Smith Show. The Howdy Doody television show televised the tree lighting from 1953-55.
The 13th Annual Christmas Tree at Rockfeller Plaza will include performances by celebrity musicians, including Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle; top female recording artist Mariah Carey; Philippine born teen sensation Charice; Grammy winning songstress Sheryl Crow; soprano Jackie Evancho; Los Angeles native Josh Groban, Welch singer Katherine Jenkins, Grammy winning British pop artist Annie Lennox; and Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue,
The holiday tree lighting will broadcast live on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Prior to this year's primetime telecast, WNBC, NBC's New York flagship station, and other nationwide affiliates will broadcast an additional live hour of the special (7-8 p.m. ET).
"Christmas in Rockefeller Center" is produced by Brad Lachman Productions with Lachman serving as executive producer. Bill Bracken is the producer of the holiday special on NBC.
