Platinum-selling country-duo Sugarland is set to release a 10-track holiday-themed record, dubbed Gold and Green, come Oct. 6--just in time for holiday shopping.

The 11-track CD, in addition to containing yuletide classics, will also feature five original songs for the season co-penned by lead members Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush.

Plus, per the duo's reps, with every Gold and Green purchase, fans will be given access to exclusive content such as downloads and the chance to enter special sweepstakes.

The act's forthcoming Christmas-themed offering comes fresh on the heels of Bush and Nettles' chart-topping CD/DVD combo, Live On The Inside, which was released just last month and quickly found favor with both country and pop music fans alike.

As for Green and Gold, the songs that will be featured on the disc are "Winter Wonderland," "Nuttin' For Christmas," "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "Silent Night," as well as the duo's originals; namely, "Coming Home," "Dreams," "City Of Silver," "Maybe Baby (New Year’s Day)," title track "Gold And Green" and "Little Wood Guitar."

More about Sugarland

Collectively, country fans first met Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, both of whom make up the  Sugarland duo, in 2004 with the release of Twice The Speed Of Life. Next, they released Enjoy the Ride (“Want To”/“Settlin’”/“Stay”) in 2006, and then followed with their third studio album, Love On The Inside (“It Happens”/“Love”/“All I Want To Do”/“Already Gone”) in July ’08, a CD that skyrocketed the duo to superstardom, drawing fans from all genres and critics abroad.

Sugarland is credited with co-writing all tracks from all three albums and co-producing the last two. As a "thank you" to the pair's loyal fans, the duo released Live On The Inside, a CD/DVD set of live tracks and footage from their tour, in August 2009.

To date, they’ve performed in six European countries and are now headlining a U.S. tour that runs through the fall. Sugarland has nabbed multiple Grammys, not to mention a collection of American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music honors, CMT Music Awards and the Country Music Association titles. In August, ABC aired an hourlong network special featuring the duo in their favorite setting ... on the live-stage.
