Christmas in July? That’s right, start planning now, because when it comes to Meadowood Napa Valley's annual “Twelve Days of Christmas Charitable Wine and Food Celebration”, it’s never too early. This popular event (held from December 5-December 20, 2014) books up fast and this year will be no exception. Meadowood has just announced the exciting lineup of chefs and vintners who will be collaborating at the event and this year looks exciting. Chefs from all over the world, including Chef Matthew Orlando of Amass Restaurant, Copenhagen, Denmark, Chef Alexandre Gauthier of La Grenouillère, La Madelaine sous Montreuil, France and a number of other chefs from the United States and Europe will be cooking at this one of a kind food and wine celebration.
Two Napa Valley charitable organizations will benefit from this year’s event: The Holly Cranston Memorial Fund, dedicated to helping children with disabilities and their families; and the Napa Emergency Women’s Services (NEWS), which provides a nurturing refuge for women and children suffering from domestic violence. Meadowood will donate $2,000 in honor of each participating chef plus 20 percent of every dinner ticket sold to be shared equally between the local charities.
