The Taft Museum of Art is always festive around the Christmas holiday season some events that you will want to attend are as follows:
November 1, 2013 – January 19, 2014 Antiques Christmas: Covers and Calendars in the Sinton Gallery
This special exhibit will feature magazine covers and calendars from the time that the Tafts lived in this historic house. Some of the magazines that will be included in this exhibit include Ladies’ Home Journal, Needlecraft, McCall’s and the Saturday Evening Post. These magazines represented the popular culture between the 1880’s to the 1930’s. The exhibit will also feature calendars and collectible plates of that time period.
November 8, 2013 to January 5, 2014 Antique Christmas
This is an annual display is very popular during holiday season. This exhibit includes antique ornaments, toys, and decorations. Some of the key items of interest that you will want to check out is Civil War Era Christmas tree, German Nativity pyramid from 1890, an entire tree trimmed in cats and dogs, another in only pink ornaments, the Noah’s Ark with animal toys, and 1950’s Christmas display and group of rare vintage dolls from the turn of the twentieth century.

Enjoy seasonal music from Cincinnati Christmas Carolers and the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. Holiday treats and cookies provided to get you in the spirit of the season.
