This is an unusual cookie recipe, it tastes like the lovely Italian dessert Tiramisu. This is an easy recipe to prepare and keeps well.
You can also dip balls in melted chocolate and drizzle with the white chocolate mixture.
Tiramisu Cookie Balls
- 1 – 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
- 60 vanilla wafers (finely crushed, about 2 cups)
- 3 T. flavored powdered coffee (Café Vienna) – divided
- 2 pkg. – 6 squares white chocolate (melted)
- 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate (melted)
Mix together cream cheese, cookie crumbs and 1 tablespoon of coffee until well blended.
Shape into 36 (1-inch) balls. Freeze for 10 minutes. Mix white chocolate and remaining coffee. Dip balls into white chocolate mixture; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Drizzle with melted semi-sweet chocolate. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Store in single layers in freezer bags or plastic containers. Before serving let set at room temperature for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or store in refrigerator after preparing.
Place each cookie ball in individual mini paper or foil cups to serve. For gifts place the mini cups with the cookie balls in a gift basket or small Christmas decorated boxes.
