'Christmas in Conway' a romantic Hallmark Hall of Fame movie

"Christmas in Conway" is a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation that premiered on ABC Television Network on Dec. 1, 2013 and will encore on Hallmark Channel on Dec. 8. The holiday themed love story stars Andy Garcia and Mary-Louise Parker. The cast also includes Mandy Moore, Cheri Oteri and Riley Smith.

Duncan Mayor (Garcia) wants to give his terminally ill wife Suzy (Parker) the perfect Christmas gift, a romantic ride on a real Ferris wheel, set up in their very own back yard. Duncan wants to relive the day that he proposed to Suzy on a ferris wheel.

Natalie Stringer (Mandy Moore) is a home-care nurse who moves in with Suzy and Duncan to care for Suzy, to Duncan's chagrin. Romantic sparks fly between Natalie and the next-door neighbor Tommy Harris (Riley Smith),a landscape designer who’s working on a project with the Mayor’s attention-seeking next-door neighbor Gayle (Cheri Oteri).

Even though Duncan wants to build the ferris wheel for his dying wife, there are people to want to block the project. The sheriff tries to shut down the backyard ferris wheel, due to code violations and Duncan has to race against time to finish before his labor of love is destroyed, as well as before his before his beloved wife dies.

The cast of "Christmas in Conway" includes Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe award nominee Andy Garcia ("The Godfather Part III," "For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story") and Mary-Louise Parker (Emmy and Golden Globe winner for "Angels in America," Golden Globe winner for "Weeds" and Tony Award winner for "Proof") are Mandy Moore ("Tangled," "The Princess Diaries"), Cheri Oteri ("Saturday Night Live," "Grown Ups 2") and Riley Smith ("90210," :Radio").

"Christmas in Conway" is directed by John Kent Harrison ("What the Deaf Man Heard," "The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler"). The script is by Stephen P. Lindsey ("Hachi: A Dog’s Tale") and Luis Ugaz. Hawk Koch ("Source Code," "Gorky Park") and Brent Shields ("The Magic of Ordinary Days," "Remember Sunday") are executive producers. It is produced by Andrew Gottlieb ("Have a Little Faith," Christmas with Holly"). The romantic movie is a Hallmark Hall of Fame Production.
